Our environmental services division provide a complete range of services for commercial and domestic clients which include emergency waste removal, specialist cleaning, infection control, pest control services, estate management, property care, grounds maintenance and events management.
We also provide a rapid response waste clearance service across Kent and the South East which can be a single item collection to a full site clearance.
We are licensed to carry and dispose of all commercial waste streams and are Trading Standards Checked (K0484), ISO 9001 45001 & 14001 accredited, Trust Mark Approved, Registered HIA (Home Improvement Agency) and SSIP (Safe Systems in Procurement) accredited.
The Role:
The purpose of this role is to support our outsourced and self-delivered waste clearance division.
We're looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to help support our team. The ideal candidate for this position is required to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and be someone who can multi-task effectively with strong attention to detail.
They will be capable of handling objections and negotiating with confidence; be someone with strong administrative skills combined with a positive can-do attitude and the flexibility to adapt to different work types ensuring our customers get the best possible experience.
Experience within the waste management/environmental sectors would be beneficial but not crucial as full training will be given.
Responsibilities:
- Handling and processing new queries/enquiries from customers via inbound/outbound calls and other multi communication channels
- Interacting with customers by answering questions and directing them to the appropriate department or colleague
- Complaint handling and resolving any issues
- Supporting field-based service staff and management team
- Liaising with subcontractors
- Managing company correspondence, including phone calls and emails
- Updating customer records, project folders and databases
- Raising sales invoices to customers and processing supplier invoices
- Ensuring that monies are collected from customers and that any overdue monies are reported to the management team
- Filing company documentation and maintaining accurate records
Experience/Skills/Attributes:
- Experience in a customer service/inbound sales role
- Excellent communication skills with a good phone manner building rapport, listening to customers and demonstrating empathy
- Capable of handling objections and negotiating with confidence
- IT capable and being comfortable/proficient on different software packages
- A team player committed to creating an excellent customer experience
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to new challenges
- Highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Well organised
- Accurate and diligent
- Client focused
Due to the location of the office and the lack of public transport your own transport would be necessary.
