Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Member to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service in a dynamic restaurant environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
Assist with organising the dining area to ensure cleanliness and comfort for guests
Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths calculations for bills and change
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
Support kitchen staff with food preparation as needed
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently

Requirements

Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Prior kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
