Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Joiner/CNC operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves precise cabinetry construction contributing to high-quality bespoke joinery projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, joinery, and the use of various hand and power tools, with a strong focus on craftsmanship and safety. Duties
- Fabricate bespoke timber components according to detailed drawings and specifications
- Assemble parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery to ensure precision and quality
- Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, drills, and lathes safely and efficiently
- Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, fitting, and finishing timber elements
- Assist with the installation of fabricated components on-site when required
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or carpentry roles within a construction or manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, routers, and sanders
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and timber fabrication processeses
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and installation tasks
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality control
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are desirable but not mandatory
