Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Nursing Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of administrative functions, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a positive environment for residents and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative aspects of the nursing home, including staff scheduling, record keeping, and financial documentation.
- Maintain accurate data entry and utilise computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook etc and record management.
- Handle correspondence via phone, email, and written communication with residents' families, staff, and regulatory bodies.
- Implement organisational policies to optimise operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and coordinate procurement as needed.
- Any other duties that the home may at times reasonably require
Skills
- Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles within healthcare or social care settings.
- Strong computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems ( Xero accounts).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Demonstrated phone etiquette with clear communication skills when liaising with residents’ families and external agencies.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and procedures with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
