Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Sales Assistant / Customer Advisor at BHS Lighting within Boundary outlet store at Shiremoor, Newcastle , where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive memorable shopping experiences. In this vibrant role, you will actively engage with diverse customers, offering expert advice, assisting with product selection, and ensuring the store remains inviting and well-organised. Your energy and communication skills will help create welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits and brand loyalty. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a lively retail setting that values proactive service, teamwork, and personal growth.

Duties

Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide attentive assistance throughout their shopping journey
Offer expert product knowledge and personalised recommendations to meet customer needs
Assist with merchandising efforts by organising displays, restocking shelves, and maintaining visual appeal
Manage transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system while ensuring efficient checkout processes
Support with tasks such as stock management and maintaining a tidy sales floor
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional service delivery

Experience

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and a proactive attitude are key
Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining high service standards.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 30.0 per week
