Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical teams, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and coordinating maintenance and installation tasks. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in electrical systems, and excellent organisational skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily electrical activities across various projects and maintenance tasks.
- Lead and mentor electrical technicians and apprentices, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment to identify potential issues or hazards.
- Plan work schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall project plans.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical work with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
- Demonstrable experience in supervising teams within an industrial or construction environment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical tasks.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant qualifications such as a recognised electrical certification or diploma are essential.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards.
