Due to continued growth of the business and an increased focus on meeting/exceeding our compliance objectives, Pixel Inspiration are looking to employ a HSE Manager with H&S and ISO compliance experience that is looking for the opportunity to make their mark on a business.
We are looking for a motivated, driven individual who can take the progress we've made so far and ensuring that we become market-leading from a HSE perspective.
The role oversees all workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance for our employees, field operations and our client base. As the sole, lead professional for the organisation, you will own the end-to-end HSE function, maintain critical business accreditations, and design policies that foster a progressive safety culture across all aspects of our business.
The core objective is to manage corporate risk by serving as the organisation's named competent person. You will ensure 100% compliance with statutory legislation while managing the upkeep of established management systems (such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001) as well as our facilities for our office based staff.
The company aims to additionally hire an administrator to support your role, which you will have a key input and lead to hiring, training and ongoing management.
Our small teams and offices in France and Belgium are a key consideration to future growth and you will have the input and lead to finding remote resource to ensure compliance within these group owned companies.
Key Responsibilities
· HSE – Strategy lead: Design the strategy for the company with the leadership team, creating and delivering the plan for the development of HSE, including accreditations, that will keep Pixel at the forefront of the industry and improve its prospects of winning new business.
· Policy Ownership: Architect, launch, and update the company-wide EHS policy framework to reflect modern office risks and hybrid working models and field installation environments.
· Accreditation Management: Lead the internal preparation, evidence gathering, and continuous hosting for external ISO audits (specifically ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
· Executive Reporting: Present quarterly HSE performance metrics, legislative updates, and proactive risk-reduction strategies directly to the executive board.
AV Installation & Field Engineering Safety
- RAMS Authoring: Create, review, and issue project-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for AV installation projects at client sites.
- Working at Height Compliance: Oversee safety protocols for high-level AV installations, ensuring correct training and equipment tracking for steps, ladders, access towers, and scaffolding.
- Electrical Safety Assurance: Implement strict safe systems of work for live testing, termination, and connection of commercial AV hardware, media walls, and power distribution units.
- Site Inductions & Subcontractors: Audit on-site subcontractor compliance, ensuring external installation crews adhere to our company standards and local site regulations.
- Toolbox Talks: Deliver highly practical, relevant safety briefings to field engineers covering manual handling of heavy displays, power tool safety, and cable management.
Office Facilities & Incident Control
- Facilities Collaboration: Partner with Facilities and Landlords to manage office statutory compliance, including fire safety, legionella testing, and fixed wire testing.
- Budgetary Responsibility for Facilities management.
- Management of third party subcontractors on site.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations for any office or client-site accidents and near-misses, compiling root-cause analyses and executing corrective actions
- Risk Assessments: Perform corporate risk assessments covering display screen equipment (DSE), ergonomic setups, fire safety, and mental health first aid.
· Vendor Assurance: Review health and safety competency files, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) for all on-site contractors.
· Culture & Training: Design and coordinate mandatory training, safety inductions, fire warden training, and general environmental awareness campaigns for staff.
The HSE Manager will have:-
- Autonomous Ownership: Proven experience managing a standalone safety function within a commercial office, tech, or engineering services sector.
- Field Safety Familiarity: Clear understanding of field engineering risks, specifically mechanical/electrical installations or working at height.
- Audit Expertise: Direct experience implementing or maintaining ISO 9000, 14001 and 45001 frameworks.
- Pragmatic Approach: Ability to balance rigorous site safety with low-risk, corporate office workplace assessments.
- Lead on Environmental accreditation(e.g. Ecovadis), policy and procedures.
- Lead on business industry compliance platforms (ConstructionLine, CHAS, SafeContractors etc.)
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- TechIOSH or GradIOSH professional membership status
- Certified internal or lead auditor for ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.
- Risk management and health/safety management experience.
- Up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices
- Hands on Quality Assurance experience.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Fire Safety & Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
- Conscientious, hardworking and accurate with exceptional attention to detail.
- Have high operational standards
- Good leadership and motivational skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to build and foster a network of subcontractors for our business needs
- Ability to prioritise tasks, especially when dealing with accidents/incidents.
- The ability to produce detailed reports.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 3 mandatory office days
- Travel to offsite engineering locations – approx. 1 – 2 days per month
Supplemental pay types:
Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
