Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team in providing high-quality care and education to young children, successfully lead a team and be a wonderful role model and mentor to the rest of the team.The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, supporting and leading others and creating a nurturing learning environment for children aged 0-5 years.

The position is permanent starting ASAP.

Duties

- Lead a small team of 3 in a 0-2 years room.
- Provide high quality learning experiences, showing a clear knowledge and understanding of Curriculum for Excellence, Realising the Ambition and Quality Improvement Framework for ELC.

-Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, families and children.

-Build positive relationships with colleagues, families and children.

-Provide a safe and secure learning environment.

-Engage in daily outdoor learning.

-Uphold nursery standards throughout the day.

-Be reflective and open to continual progress and development.

Requirements

-Leadership experience.
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years old.
- Relevant childcare qualification SVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent.

-Relevant leadership qualification, or commitment to work towards this; SVQ Level 4, PDA Childhood Practice, BA Childhood Practice
- Updated PVG (completed by Gowanlea Nursery) & SSSC registration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £29,740.00 per year
