Outline of the role:
Are you looking to kick-start or grow your career in Quality Assurance? Our Change and Digital Innovation Unit are looking for Junior QA Engineers with some hands-on experience who are eager to learn, develop, and make a real impact. These roles are offered on a full time permanent basis with Hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office.
At the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service, you’ll play a key role in improving digital services that support access to justice across Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team, build your skills, and work with modern testing tools and methodologies.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and executing functional and automated test cases
- Supporting BDD-based test development (e.g. WebdriverIO, Cucumber)
- Creating test plans, reports, and QA documentation
- Logging, tracking, and managing defects through to resolution
- Working within Agile teams to deliver high-quality digital services
- Collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholder
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Some hands-on QA/testing experience (placement, internship, or junior role)
- Knowledge of testing tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Basic understanding of automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO)
- Awareness of testing approaches (Agile, BDD, regression, UAT)
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Have (or are working towards) ISTQB Foundation.
