About Us

The HPKC is a leading manufacturer of high-quality bathroom furniture, known for craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Machine Operative to join our production team.

This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing quality products, and works well as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

Operate a range of woodworking machinery including Beam Saw, Panel Saw, Edge Bander and CNC machinery
Load, unload and handle materials safely throughout the production process
Assist with machine set-up and daily production requirements
Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
Inspect finished components to ensure quality and accuracy standards are met
Follow production schedules and standard operating procedures
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets
Assist in other workshop duties where required

Requirements:

Previous experience operating woodworking machinery in a manufacturing or workshop environment is essential
CNC operating experience would be advantageous, but full training can be provided
Good physical fitness and ability to handle materials safely
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Forklift licence desirable but not essential

4-day working week — every Friday off
Starting pay from £14.50 per hour
6-month pay review

Work time: Monday - Thursday 7am-5:30pm with option of overtime.
