Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice.

We are an independant family run practice moving into a newly renovated premesis. We offer denplan, invisalign, cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. We offer in house CPD and pay for GDC reg fee.

You will be joining a close knit, friendly and happy team.

The successful candidate will assist dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment committed to high standards of dental care. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to advance their career in dental nursing.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.
Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have.
Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes in accordance with practice protocols.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
Promote good communication with patients to foster a welcoming atmosphere and address any concerns effectively.

Skills

Strong patient care skills with a caring and empathetic approach.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication with patients and team members.
Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care, including infection control procedures.
Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, dentists, and colleagues.
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy clinical setting.
