Build Your Practice. Keep Your Independence. Scale With Support.
Are you an experienced residential conveyancer ready to take control of your career without sacrificing the backing of a reputable firm? NPS Law is seeking ambitious Conveyancing Consultants to join our rapidly expanding team in a unique partnership model that rewards your expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.
About NPS Law
NPS Law is redefining what it means to be a modern, client-focused law firm. We've built our reputation on delivering exceptional residential conveyancing, commercial property, and private client services with a level of professionalism and personal attention that sets us apart in an increasingly commoditized industry.
What makes us different:
We understand that the best conveyancers thrive when they have autonomy, flexibility, and the infrastructure to support their success. That's why we've created a consultant model that gives you the freedom to manage your practice your way, while providing the brand recognition, technological resources, and introducer relationships that typically take years to build independently.
Our firm is experiencing significant growth, and we're making a name for ourselves across the residential property sector. When you join NPS Law as a consultant, you're not just managing transactions, you're contributing to a brand that's becoming synonymous with excellence, integrity, and innovation in conveyancing.
We're committed to protecting our clients' interests while empowering our consultants to build thriving, sustainable practices. This is your opportunity to be part of something special from the ground up.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time remote consultant position designed for experienced residential conveyancers who want to operate with independence while benefiting from firm support, established relationships, and a growing reputation.
What You'll Do
Manage Your Caseload, Your Way
You'll take full ownership of a portfolio of residential property transactions from initial instruction through to successful completion. This includes:
· Client Relationship Management: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout their property journey, providing expert guidance, clear communication, and reassurance during what is often one of the most significant transactions of their lives
· Transaction Oversight: Managing all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and lease extensions with meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
· Legal Due Diligence: Conducting comprehensive property searches, reviewing contracts, identifying potential issues, and advising clients on legal implications with clarity and confidence
· Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising effectively with estate agents, mortgage brokers, surveyors, other solicitors, and all parties involved in the transaction to ensure smooth progression and timely completion
· Documentation & Compliance: Preparing and reviewing legal documentation, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, anti-money laundering procedures, and professional standards
· Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential legal risks, title defects, and transaction obstacles before they become problems
Build and Grow Your Practice
As a consultant, you'll have the autonomy to develop and manage your own caseload with our support:
· Business Development: While you'll be responsible for cultivating your own client base, we provide substantial support through our established network of introducers, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and referral partners who already trust the NPS Law brand
· Introducer Relationships: Leverage our strong existing relationships with key introducers in the industry, giving you a significant head start in building your pipeline
· Brand Association: Benefit from operating under the NPS Law name—a growing brand that opens doors and builds client confidence from the first interaction
· Marketing Support: Access firm-wide marketing initiatives, professional branding materials, and digital presence that enhance your credibility and visibility
Contribute to Our Growing Reputation
You'll be joining us at an exciting time of expansion and will play a meaningful role in:
· Shaping our service standards and client experience
· Contributing to our reputation for excellence in the conveyancing sector
· Helping establish NPS Law as a go-to firm for residential property transactions
· Mentoring and collaborating with other team members as we grow
The Consultant Model: Your Earnings, Your Control
We believe in rewarding expertise and entrepreneurial drive. As a Consultant Conveyancer with NPS Law, you'll operate on a transparent fee-split arrangement that recognizes your contribution and incentivizes your success.
How It Works:
· Negotiated Fee Split: Before you join, we'll agree on a competitive fee-split percentage for all completed matters. This split reflects your experience, expected caseload, and the support services you'll utilize
· Earnings Potential: Your income is directly tied to your productivity and the quality of service you provide. The more efficiently you work and the better you serve clients, the more you earn, without the ceiling of a traditional salary
· Completed Matter Basis: You receive your portion of fees upon successful completion of transactions, ensuring alignment between your efforts and rewards
· Transparent Structure: No hidden deductions or surprise fees. We'll clearly outline what the firm provides (technology, compliance support, brand, introducer relationships, professional indemnity insurance coverage) and what you retain
· Flexibility and Autonomy: Unlike traditional employment, you have control over your workload, working hours, and practice management approach, while still benefiting from firm infrastructure
This model is ideal for experienced conveyancers who want to maximize their earning potential while minimizing the administrative burden and overhead costs of running a completely independent practice.
Essential Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Professional Experience & Expertise
· Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience managing residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion with a history of successful outcomes
· Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of property law, conveyancing processes, Land Registry requirements, and current legislation affecting residential transactions
· Case Management Systems: Proficiency in using conveyancing case management software to efficiently manage workflows, deadlines, and client communications
Professional Skills & Attributes
· Exceptional Organization: Outstanding time-management and organizational capabilities to juggle multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
· Client-Centric Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in accessible language and build lasting client relationships
· Independent Work Ethic: Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, self-motivate, and manage your practice with minimal supervision
· Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate, with sound judgment and practical solutions
· Commercial Awareness: Understanding of the business side of conveyancing, including client acquisition, relationship management, and practice development
Professional Credentials
· Membership of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) or regulation by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is highly desirable and may be required depending on your specific circumstances
· Current professional indemnity insurance or eligibility to be covered under the firm's policy
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry changes
