Join our team at Total Plumbing Supplies, a respected independent builders merchant serving the Southeast since 2001. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England.

Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Showroom Manager at Chard

The Role

To manage and grow the showroom area of the builders merchants TPS Chard by providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and ensuring the showroom is well-maintained and presented to the highest standards. You will lead the showroom team, engage with trade and retail customers, and promote kitchen, bathroom, and interior products.

Responsibilities and Duties

Oversee day-to-day operations of the showroom
Greet customers and provide expert advice on product ranges (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, flooring)
Work with trade professionals, architects, and retail clients to understand needs and suggest solutions
Design and present layouts using CAD or design software (if applicable)
Manage customer quotations, orders, and follow-ups
Drive sales performance and meet or exceed targets
Train, support, and lead showroom staff
Maintain showroom appearance and merchandising to reflect current trends and promotions
Coordinate with suppliers and the warehouse to ensure product availability
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
Maintain accurate records and report on showroom activity and performance

The Requirements

Proven experience in showroom sales, ideally in builders merchants or related industries (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, interiors)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commercial awareness and sales focus
Team leadership or supervisory experience
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
Product knowledge in construction/interiors (tiles, bathrooms, joinery, etc.)
Experience using POS and CRM systems
Knowledge of CAD or design software is a plus
Full Driving Licence

The Hours

Week:1 Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00

Week:2 Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 Saturday 08:00-12:00
