NHS Employees are required to secure their manager’s agreement for a secondment arrangement prior to applying, as this will be a condition of any offer made.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis as it has been established to provide maternity cover and will end on 1st July 2027 or when the substantive post holder returns.
Whilst this post is advertised on an acting / secondment basis there is the potential that this post may become permanent the future.
In a Centre of Excellence with forward thinking, highly skilled staff, currently providing a Monday to Friday structured service between the hours of 8-7pm with no on-call/bank holiday commitment
You must be a registered Operating Department Practitioner / registered Nurse at Band 5, experience working within the theatre environment is preferable however training is available. The ambition and desire to develop your skills within the theatre environment is essential.
Our Theatre Teams also work closely with some of the region's leading consultants and are exposed to the latest innovative, evidence -based clinical techniques. Our real driving force is our ability to invest in our people, as we support our Theater Nurses and ODPs to build their skills through mentoring and formal training such as ALS or ASP.

The post holder will:

Compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 – the post holder is required to fulfil a proactive role towards the management of risk in all of their actions.
