We are looking for an Electrical Installation and maintenance Apprentice, based within the Swindon areas of Wiltshire, to assist with the service delivery of planned and reactive maintenance work.
This is a fixed term contract in accordance with the length of the apprenticeship.
You will be qualified to:
- 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Math and English.
- Numerate and literate
- Ability to learn and to apply knowledge in a practical setting
- Willingness to learn to drive - hold at least a provisional driving license or will obtain a provisional driving license upon appointment and pass the SBC transport driver assessment.
- Some experience of dealing with the public
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people
- Can demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems
- Shows a basic understanding of the work of the relevant trade.
The Job requirements are:
- Support and assist the service to carry out Gas maintenance work.
- Must attend internal and external training to extend knowledge in any necessary trade skill areas
- To attain apprenticeship level 2 and Level 3, Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician (Level 3)
- Gain Knowledge on Statutory and non-statutory requirements.
- Continue to gain experience in the use of data recording and analysing equipment.
- To maintain the highest level in customer care and in line with service standards.
The successful candidate will:
- Have good communication and organisational skills and be able to work in a methodical and calm manner
- Ensure accuracy and pay attention to details
- Be self-motivated and able to work within a team
- Can use own initiative
- Have the ability to work under pressure achieving Client Service Level’s and Key Performance Indicators and to specified deadlines
- Be presentable, wear uniform supplied and able to undertake duties in line with Managements’ recommendations, instructions, company policy, and in accordance with client requirements
- Be competent in the use of data recording and analysing equipment.
Applicants must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
