Oxford PV is scaling the commercial manufacturing of next-generation perovskite-silicon tandem solar technology. The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will play a critical role in designing, securing, and optimising a resilient, scalable, and responsible global supply chain to support high-volume manufacturing, innovation cycles, and long-term commercial growth.
This role owns supply chain strategy, supplier partnering, risk management, and cross-site coordination, ensuring readiness from pilot through to HVM, while embedding sustainability, compliance, and cost discipline.
This role requires a regular presence in Germany and other future sites.
What will you be doing?

Setting and delivering Oxford PV’s global supply chain strategy aligned to manufacturing scale-up, technology roadmap, and commercial plan.
- Establishing supply chain governance, decision rights, and escalation routes across UK, German, and future sites.
- Leading make/buy choices and sourcing strategies for critical materials, equipment, and services.
- Identifying, qualifying, and developing strategic suppliers across key technical categories (materials, wafers, cells, chemicals, tools, components).
- Building long-term supplier partnerships, including framework agreements and capacity-reservation where needed.
- Managing supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, innovation, risk, and ESG metrics.
- Owning end-to-end supply chain risk assessment and mitigation (geopolitical, capacity, IP, quality, financial, regulatory).
- Implementing resilience plans (dual-sourcing, regionalisation, contingencies) and leading disruption/crisis response planning.
- Embedding responsible sourcing, compliance, and sustainability into supplier management while driving cross-functional/site alignment and tracking KPIs, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and planning inputs (CapEx, long-range plans, diligence).
What will you need to succeed in the role?
Essential skills:

Significant experience in strategic supply chain or strategic procurement roles, preferably within deep-tech, semiconductor, PV, electronics, advanced materials, or high-volume manufacturing environments.

Proven experience designing and managing global, multi-site supply chains during scale-up or industrialisation phases.

Track record of leading supplier strategy, negotiations, and long-term partnerships.

Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chains, qualification processes, and change-management impacts.

Experience with supply chain risk management, dual-sourcing strategies, and supplier audits.

Solid commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and cost modelling.

Familiarity with ESG-related supply chain requirements (ethical sourcing, traceability, audits) is highly desirable.

Comfortable working in highly technical environments with R&D and engineering teams.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.

Able to operate effectively in ambiguity and rapid-growth settings.
