Overview
Dr's McVerry, McGee & Farnon based in Newry Health Village are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) to join our friendly healthcare team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients across various age groups and medical conditions, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to community health and well-being. The position requires a commitment to excellence in primary healthcare delivery.

The practice has a number of contracts available, working anywhere between 4 - 10 sessions per week.

Successful candidates will receive:-

£12,500 per session
Fully paid indemnity
6 weeks AL leave pa
Further paid training in areas benefiting the practice
Excellent future opportunities to become a practice GP Partner
The practice is not currently available to offer Visa Sponsorship

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient consultations, including medical history assessments and physical examinations.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions.
Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
Perform or oversee procedures such as medication administration, basic diagnostic tests, and medical imaging referrals.
Provide specialised care in areas such as ICU, senior care, hospice, home care, nursing home environments, and public health initiatives.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
Engage in clinical research activities to improve patient outcomes and healthcare practices.
Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Stay updated with the latest developments in medicine, anatomy knowledge, and healthcare protocols.

Experience

Experience as a General Practitioner in a primary care role.
Emis Web experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be issued
