Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and customer service. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and physical strength are essential.

Duties

Remove and replace tyres on passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and specialised equipment using appropriate hand and power tools
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary
Balance tyres to ensure smooth operation and minimise vibrations
Perform tyre repairs such as patching or plugging punctures
Maintain cleanliness of work area and tools to uphold safety standards
Assist with routine vehicle maintenance tasks when required
Provide excellent customer service by explaining tyre conditions and repair options clearly to clients
Use heavy lifting techniques safely when handling tyres and related equipment

Skills

Mechanical knowledge of tyre fitting procedures and vehicle systems
Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
Experience with power tools used in tyre fitting and maintenance
Strong maintenance skills with attention to safety protocols
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling tyres weighing up to 20kg or more
Organised approach to work, ensuring timely completion of tasks in a busy environment
