This isn’t just estimating – it’s influencing how major programmes are planned, costed, and brought to life. From substations to large-scale construction projects, your insight will help deliver infrastructure that powers homes, businesses, and communities nationwide.

What you'll be doing

Develop robust cost estimates across civil, mechanical and E&I works
Support procurement and contracting strategies with Commercial teams
Produce clear Basis of Estimate documentation
Update and refine estimates as projects evolve
Benchmark contractor submissions and provide commercial insight
Provide cost intelligence to design and delivery teams
Standardise supplier data to ensure consistent cost comparisons

What we're looking for

We’re keen to hear from estimators with experience in major infrastructure, engineering or defence environments.

You’ll bring:

Experience estimating large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost drivers
Background in transmission or similar sectors (nice to have)
Knowledge of HV electrical (33kV–400kV) (advantageous, not essential)
Strong commercial awareness and decision-making ability
An analytical, results-driven approach with strong stakeholder skills

If you’ve worked on complex asset builds or large project costing, we’d love to hear from you – even if your experience is outside electricity transmission.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £61,000 - £70,000 – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
