Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Chip Shop Fryer to join our busy food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fried dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary excellence, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to produce crispy, delicious fried foods.
Prepare raw ingredients, including peeling, chopping, and battering, ensuring all items are ready for cooking.
Cook food items to the correct specifications, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including cleaning fryers, utensils, and work surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Assist with general kitchen duties as required, supporting team members during busy periods.

Skills

Experience in food preparation or cooking within a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
Previous experience working in a restaurant or fast-food setting is beneficial.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills.
A positive attitude towards customer service and willingness to learn new skills related to culinary practices.
