Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Campsite and Cafe Cleaner at Sandend to come join our team and work weekend mornings with occasional holiday cover through the week. The campsite is open Aril to October and the cafe all year round so plenty of hours with a great rate of £15 per hour. This would suit someone who works early and gets the rest of the day to themselves. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming environment for our visitors by delivering high standards of cleanliness across all designated areas. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services who take pride in their work and enjoy working outdoors.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of campsite facilities, including communal areas, toilets, showers, and outdoor spaces
Maintain cleanliness of the café interior, including tables, counters, kitchen areas, and restrooms
Ensure waste disposal is managed efficiently and recycling protocols are followed
Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors
Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Physically fit to perform manual tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
Reliable with a positive attitude and good communication skills
Previous outdoor or hospitality cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential
