Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, to contribute to the production of durable metal structures and assemblies.

Responsibilities

Fabricate metal parts and assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to join sheet metal and structural components accurately.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to meet project specifications.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards.

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding methods relevant to UK welding standards.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and structural steel.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
Familiarity with assembly processes for completing finished products or structures.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail, safety consciousness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role is ideal for dedicated individuals eager to develop their skills within a professional manufacturing setting while contributing to high-quality projects through expert fabrication and welding techniques.

Pay: £15.14-£16.10 per hour
