Y Meirion is more than just a pub. We're building the beating heart of our community, with live music, sport, great food and a warm Welsh welcome.
We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media & Community Content Coordinator to manage our online presence and help grow our community across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other digital platforms.
What You'll Do
- Plan, create and publish engaging content across our social media channels.
- Capture high-quality photos and short-form video content around the pub.
- Promote our events, live music, food, sport and community activities.
- Write engaging content in both Welsh and English.
- Respond to comments and messages where appropriate.
- Work alongside the management team to plan future campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor engagement and suggest new ideas to grow our online audience.
- Ensure all content reflects the Y Meirion brand and values.
AI-Assisted Creativity
We're looking for someone who embraces modern technology while keeping creativity at the heart of everything they do.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini and other generative AI platforms is highly desirable. These tools should be used to support idea generation, content planning, research and editing, not to replace genuine creativity or authentic storytelling.
We're looking for someone who can combine technology with personality to create content that feels real, engaging and uniquely Y Meirion.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Is fluent in both Welsh and English.
- Has experience creating engaging social media content.
- Is confident using Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
- Can take attractive photos and create short-form videos.
- Has an eye for design and visual storytelling.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Understands current social media trends.
- Enjoys meeting people and capturing the atmosphere of a busy community pub.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Express or similar design software.
- Experience with ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI tools.
- Basic photography and video editing skills.
- Experience scheduling posts using Meta Business Suite or similar software.
