Role Overview

WELL SPOKEN ENGLISH REQUIRED.

As a Care and Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day lives of the individuals we support. You will provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care, working closely with residents, their families, and a wider team of professionals to promote wellbeing, independence, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide Personal Care, including support with daily living activities, hygiene, and nutrition.

· Assist residents with medication management in accordance with care plans and organisational policies.

· Support individuals with household tasks such as Cooking, Cleaning, and laundry to encourage independence. Maintaining the garden and Infection Control.

· Manage and support residents with their finances in a transparent and trustworthy manner.

· Facilitate and encourage participation in social activities, community outings, and recreational programmes.

· Support residents in attending educational workshops, vocational training, and career development opportunities.

· Monitor and record residents’ wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to the senior team.

· Promote and uphold each individual’s rights, dignity, and privacy at all times.

· Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and supportive home environment.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to deliver care that meets and exceeds expectations.

· Adhere to all Care Perspective policies, procedures, and CQC regulatory requirements.

Essential Requirements

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a good standard of Spoken and Written English (Ideally someone local)

· A genuine passion for supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs, or Physical Needs.

· A compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach.

· The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Reliability and a strong sense of professional responsibility.

· A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

· Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

· Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Desirable (but not essential)

· Previous experience in a care or support worker role.

· A Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

· Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Adults, and relevant legislation.

· Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders or complex needs.
