Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Tipper Driver (Class 2) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tipper lorries safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of materials to various sites. This role requires a dedicated individual with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and excellent driving skills. Experience with flatbed and commercial driving is advantageous, along with previous delivery driver experience.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV tipper lorry to transport materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring securement during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the dispatch team.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
- Assist with loading or unloading as required, including handling flatbed loads when necessary.
- Report any vehicle defects or accidents promptly to management.
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence with relevant driving experience.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles.
- Knowledge of flatbed operations is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and service.
