Job Overview:
The Senior Designer will be responsible for developing and delivering commercial interior design projects from concept through to technical design. The role requires a strong understanding of workplace design, space planning and technical detailing, alongside the ability to communicate design ideas effectively through drawings, presentations and visualisations.
Working closely with the Design, Sales and Project Delivery teams, the successful candidate will take ownership of projects, coordinate design information and contribute to the continued development of the department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed Revit-based drawing packages including plans, elevations, sections, schedules and technical details.
- Develop workplace and interior design concepts, space planning layouts and client presentation materials.
- Generate high-quality 3D visuals using Enscape or equivalent visualisation software.
- Prepare mood boards, finish selections and material specifications.
- Coordinate design information with project managers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Attend site surveys, client meetings, design workshops and project review meetings.
- Support the preparation of tender submissions, design proposals and client presentations.
- Review drawings and project information to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain proficiency in all Bbi design software, including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape and PowerPoint.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of company drawing standards, templates and Revit libraries.
- Produce and update case studies, CVs and marketing material as required.
- Manage design services outsourced to suppliers, manufacturers or specialist consultants where necessary.
- Support and mentor junior members of the design team.
Experience & Skills
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience within commercial interior design, workplace design or fit-out environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing production and design coordination.
- Experience producing concept designs, technical drawing packages and client presentations.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furniture and interior construction methods.
- Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to programme deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience within commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and accessibility requirements.
- Experience coordinating M&E services and external consultants.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and workflows.
- Experience carrying out site inspections and snagging activities.

Economic Conditions:
· Competitive salary negotiable ranging from £32,000 to £40,000 per annum depending upon experience

Conditions of Employment:
· This position is based in Brecon Office, regular travel required for site visits
· The Company supports hybrid working for up to two days per week where the requirements of the role and the needs of the business allow.
· The hours are 08:30hrs to 17:00 hrs. (one hour for lunch).
· The annual holidays total 24 days 4 of which are designated company days and are taken over the Christmas period on dates determined by the Board.
