Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Trade counter and Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are stored, organised, and dispatched accurately. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to communicate effectively, and a willingness to engage in heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.

Working on the trade counter and serving customers along with replenishing stock

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods in designated areas within the warehouse.
Prepare orders for dispatch by picking, packing, and labelling items accurately.
Maintain an organised and clean warehouse environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as required (training may be provided).
Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding stock levels and order fulfilment.
Support delivery drivers by loading and unloading goods from vehicles when necessary.
Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with commercial driving or delivery driving is a plus for candidates interested in multi-tasking roles.
Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift is required.
A valid driver's licence is preferred for those who may be involved in driving duties or operating delivery vans.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork within the warehouse setting.
