Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing precise welding and fabrication tasks, contributing to the creation and assembly of high-quality metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG and MIG welding. The position requires a keen eye for detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Duties
- Perform TIG, MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
- Fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet safety standards and client requirements.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into larger structures or systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG, MIG welding, with a strong understanding of <LOCATION> welding standards.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in metalworking.
- Knowledge of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, or other metals is desirable.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Prior experience in assembly processes is advantageous but not essential. Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
