Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Barista / Cashier to join our busy café team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and high-quality beverages.

About the Venue

40 indoor seats
30 outdoor seats
Dine-in and takeaway service

Customer numbers can range from 50 to over 1,000 people per day during peak periods. Our busiest times are weekends, school holidays, and bank holidays when the nearby splash park attracts large numbers of families and visitors. During quieter periods, the café mainly serves park visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and serving high-quality coffees, teas, and other beverages
Operating coffee machines and maintaining equipment
Providing excellent customer service at all times
Taking customer orders and processing payments
Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the café, serving areas, and workstations
Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels
Assisting with food preparation and service when required
Working efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality standards

What We're Looking For

Previous barista experience is essential
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and milk texturing
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, professional, and approachable manner
Customer-focused with a strong understanding of excellent customer service
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
