As part of our continued growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Marketing and Commercial Manager to drive business development, expand international market presence, and strengthen commercial relationships with customers, suppliers, freight partners, and distributors.
Role Overview
The Marketing and Commercial Manager will lead the development and implementation of commercial and marketing strategies that support business growth, customer acquisition, and international market expansion. The post-holder will be responsible for identifying new export opportunities, analysing market trends, managing commercial partnerships, managing the office, and ensuring the company maintains a competitive position within the global automotive parts industry.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to increase revenue and profitability across domestic and international markets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within automotive export and logistics sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas buyers, distributors, suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage contracts with customers and business partners.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the automotive export industry.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, tenders, and business development plans.
- Support pricing strategies to maximise profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
Marketing Management
- Design and deliver marketing campaigns targeting international automotive parts buyers and distributors.
- Develop brand awareness strategies across digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Manage the company's online presence, including website content, social media, and digital advertising.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and export opportunities.
- Analyse marketing performance data and customer engagement metrics to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, automotive industry events, and international business forums.
Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to business planning and growth objectives.
- Prepare performance reports and market analysis for senior management.
- Develop customer retention and relationship management strategies.
- Collaborate with operational and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are effectively delivered.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with UK export regulations and relevant international trade requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in Marketing, Business Management, International Trade, Commercial Management, Logistics Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years' experience in a commercial management, business development, export sales, or marketing management role.
- Strong understanding of international trade, export markets, and commercial operations.
- Experience developing and implementing business growth strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and financial awareness.
- Ability to interpret market data and develop commercial solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within automotive exports, vehicle parts distribution, logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding sectors.
- Knowledge of international shipping documentation and export compliance processes.
- Experience working with overseas markets, particularly Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
- Professional qualification in Marketing, Project Management, or International Trade.
