Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for safety and hygiene standards. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional kitchen environment, contributing to meal preparation and service in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Support chefs with basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
Follow food safety procedures and hygiene regulations at all times
Help with stock rotation and inventory checks to ensure freshness of ingredients
Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring proper presentation and portion control
Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing prep work and assisting where needed

Experience

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a professional kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred
Experience in meal preparation, food service, or culinary roles will be beneficial for success in this position
