Location: Barnet and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
Hours: Part-Time, Flexible Shifts Available
Includes: Days, Evenings, Waking Nights and Sleep-In Shifts

Golden Crown Care and Support Services is looking to recruit compassionate, committed and motivated Support Workers to join our growing Supported Accommodation and Community Outreach team.

We provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and behaviours that may challenge services. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference and supporting people to live independently, safely and confidently within their homes and local communities.

This is a varied role combining supported accommodation support with visiting support work within the community. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may include daytime support, evenings, waking nights and sleep-in duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting adults with daily living skills and promoting independence
Assisting with personal care where required
Supporting individuals to access community activities, appointments and social opportunities
Encouraging positive routines, emotional wellbeing and life skills development
Managing and responding appropriately to behaviours of concern using Positive Behaviour Support approaches
Supporting individuals with medication in line with care plans and policies
Maintaining accurate daily records and reporting any safeguarding or welfare concerns
Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team
Supporting individuals in line with their personalised support plans, risk assessments and communication needs

What We Are Looking For

Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
Understanding of behaviours that challenge and positive behaviour support approaches
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, patient and non-judgemental approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts including waking nights and sleep-ins
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults

Essential Requirements

Previous care/support work experience preferred
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Willingness to complete mandatory training
Good written and spoken English

Desirable

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
Experience in supported living or supported accommodation settings
Experience with Autism, Mental Health or complex behaviours
Medication administration training
Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
