Full job description

Join Our Growing Manufacturing Team

We are looking for two skilled and motivated CNC Punch Operator to join our busy manufacturing team, or someone with parallel skills that can be trained. This is an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art CNC machinery in a well-established and growing business, producing high-quality components for a range of industries.

The Role

As a CNC Punch Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating advanced CNC punching equipment to manufacture components to exact specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring productivity, quality, and efficiency within the production process.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate high-value CNC punching machinery.
Select, install, and adjust tooling for production runs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
Carry out quality inspections and dimensional checks on finished components.
Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues to minimise downtime.
Manage workload effectively to keep production flowing efficiently.
Handle materials safely and maintain accurate work processes.
Segregate and dispose of scrap steel in designated recycling bins.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

What We're Looking ForEssential

Previous experience operating CNC punch, sheet metal, or similar manufacturing machinery.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious approach to work.

Desirable

Experience with CNC programming or machine setup.
Forklift truck licence.
Experience within a sheet metal or fabrication environment.
Knowledge of quality inspection and measurement equipment.
