HGV Class 2 Driver (Waste Collection)
Main Duties
- Drive and operate a Class 2 (Category C) waste collection vehicle.
- Collect and empty commercial waste bins at customer sites.
- Assist with loading and emptying bins into a 26-tonne refuse vehicle.
- Complete scheduled collection routes safely and efficiently.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
- Ensure compliance with Driver CPC, tachograph, road transport, and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and vehicle checks.
- Provide professional customer service when dealing with clients.
- Work as part of a collection crew and support colleagues when required.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Good understanding of UK driving regulations.
- Ability to perform physical work, including moving and emptying waste bins.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Previous waste management or HGV driving experience is preferred.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
