Our vision is to transform community pharmacy from a primarily dispensing focus to a service- led role utilising the UK’s first state of-the-art centralised automated pharmacy hub. In combination Pharmacy Plus Health, our chain of independent pharmacies, and supplying independent pharmacies, we will liberate teams from the daily dispensing to focus on delivering clinical services to patients. We need to support the pharmacy team on their transformation journey to free up capacity and reach their full clinical potential.
Role Purpose:
The main responsibilities as Accuracy Checker will be to assist the Pharmacy team in managing the day to day assembly and checking in the Pharmacy Hub. A key part of your role will be to check prescription orders that have passed their assembly and clinical checks and thereby allowing the Pharmacist to focus on pharmacy operations and customer satisfaction.
General
- Perform general pharmacy duties in line with assembly systems under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Accurately assemble and check items, under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
- Select and perform accuracy checks to ensure that the process has been accurately performed
- Comply with all relevant company SOP’s, information governance, policies and procedures.
- From time to time carry out activities to support the automation process.
- Assist in the development of other staff members where appropriate.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility.
- Complete all records required when supplying medicines.
- Effectively manage pharmaceutical stock and equipment
- Receive, store, maintain and issue stock in accordance with Company SOP’s
Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 – Pharmacy Services
- NVQ level 3 - Pharmacy Technician (Desirable)
Experience
- Experience of accuracy checking in a pharmacy or warehouse.
- Experience of working in an automated/assembly environment (Desirable).
- Understanding of pharmaceutical, retail and wholesale and warehousing (Desirable).
