Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Alterations Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise alterations on men's suits, ensuring high-quality finishes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience in sewing.

Responsibilities

Carry out alterations on clothing items including taking in or letting out seams, lengthening and shortening trouser legs and jacket sleeves.
Operate industrial sewing machines efficiently and accurately to meet quality standards
Inspect garments thoroughly to identify necessary adjustments and ensure proper fit and finish
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and uphold quality standards

Requirements

Proven experience in sewing, alterations, or related roles
Ability to follow written order sheet specifying garment sizes
Ability to operate industrial sewing machines confidently
Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Basic understanding of garment construction and fitting techniques
Ability to work independently as well as part of a teamThis role provides an engaging environment for those passionate about garment craftsmanship, offering the chance to contribute to high-quality production standards.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
