Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tiler to join our construction team in the North Devon area. Wages can be discussed depending on experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tiling installation, with a keen eye for detail and precision. This role involves working on various residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of construction processes and be proficient with a range of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying suitable primers or adhesives
Measure and mark out tiling layouts
Cut tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, or specialised equipment
Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion
Grout and seal tiled surfaces to achieve a durable finish
Follow technical drawings, schematics, and instructions to meet project requirements
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist in the mixing of adhesives or mortar as required for different tiling applications

Requirements

Proven experience in tiling within construction or renovation projects
Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, cutters, and levels
Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, and tile cutters
Can work independently
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in finishing work
Experience working with various materials such as ceramic, porcelain, stone, or mosaic tiles is preferred
You must have your own vehicle and tools

Pay: £160.00 per day

Work Location: In person
