Are you passionate about delivering amazing guest experiences and ensuring safety at the highest standards? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Lifeguard to join our team at North Devon Resort!
As a Lifeguard, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests in the department through the efficient running of the pool, activity sessions and other areas of the department e.g. plant room.
Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for our customers whilst in the swimming pool through lifeguarding to the highest possible standard in line with polices that are in place.
Comply with all policies and procedures that are in place.
Ensure that the pool and ancillary areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
To carry out daily safety checks in the Department, including; Opening & Closing checks, Ongoing checks and Pool chemical tests.
For hot tubs, help and assist with water changes, chemical balancing and ensuring water safety guidelines are being followed.
Responsible for First aid requirements, including reporting accidents and incidents to the management team.
Work in a safe manner at all times to safeguard your own Health and safety and that of all colleagues, customers and visitors, in line with company Health and Safety policies.
Participate in all training that is required, including; Lifeguarding, H&S, customer Service and activity training.
Report any damage/issues with any equipment.
Maximise retail opportunities utilising stock displays, up selling and product knowledge.
On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties not related to your role after appropriate training has been given.
Work with team members to ensure guest experience exceeds their expectations.
Person Specification:
Hold a current NPLQ – This can be given for the right candidate
Previous Lifeguard Experience is desirable
Previous plant room experience required
Previous hot tub experience is desired but full training can be given to the right applicant
Previous Sport/activity experience is desirable
Experience in working successfully as part of a wider team
Strong communication and influencing skills, achievement focused and time management skills essential
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract, Fixed term contract, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months
