Summary
To support future growth, Stannp are seeking a Digital Print Operator (Level 1) to join our digital print team. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will develop your skills and knowledge across the complete digital printing process — from file management and stock handling to quality control and routine maintenance. Full training on Stannp’s products, stock, systems, and processes will be provided.
This is a full time, on-site role based at our facility in Barnstaple, North Devon. You must therefore be a commutable distance.
Flexibility to work shifts will also be required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the team, receiving hands-on guidance as part of structured on-the-job development
- Send files to the correct Hot Folders based on print format, developing judgment around printer availability and format suitability
- Load and unload printers, switch between stock types, and replace standard consumables including drums and sensitive components
- Identify quality control issues and escalate appropriately, with root cause support provided by a senior team member
- Assist with QC alignment and colour fulfilment checks, updating MX accordingly
- Complete weekly preventative maintenance tasks on printers, logging progress and error codes throughout
- Maintain full compliance with all health and safety requirements and keep the work area clean throughout each shift
Qualifications
- Keen attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced colleagues
- Methodical and careful approach to handling equipment and materials
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic understanding of Windows PC and Mac-based programmes
