Full job description

Cafe Assistant

The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume café, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining efficiency during busy periods. Adapted quickly to changing demands, prioritised tasks effectively, and remained calm under pressure to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide friendly and professional customer service, taking orders and serving food and beverages efficiently.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the till system.
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked work environment in line with food hygiene and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient service during peak trading times.
Demonstrate strong organisational skills by managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively.
Use initiative to identify tasks that needed completing without supervision, helping to keep the café running smoothly.
Adapted quickly to changing customer demand and supported different areas of the café as required.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking, cleaning, and preparing the café for service.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
