Job Summary

SCOTT FPS Ltd is a well established family run business based in South Wales with over 30 years experience in the fire industry. As a BAFE accredited company we strive on delivering the best quality workmanship for our valued customers.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

Install & maintain of fire alarm & Emergency Lighting systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with fire alarm/Emergency lighting systems.
Provide technical support to customers as needed.
Keep accurate records of all work completed.
Training will be provided on our mobile software app.

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role within the electrical trade.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work.
Strong electrical experience with a solid understanding of wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3).
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
An understanding of Health & Safety at work.
Ability to hold an autonomous role and demonstrate excellent time management.
High levels of literacy, verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate
Good professional representation of the company
Exceptional customer service.
Must be flexible, enthusiastic and have a can do attitude.
Will be required to work as part of an on call rota system (inc weekends)
Submission of relevant paperwork in a timely manner thorugh our online software
Be smart in appearance
Full clean UK driver’s licence

Desirable:

Knowledge of BS5266
BS5839 Certification or equivalent
Any other certificates and qualifications not listed above

Job Type: Full Time (40hrs per week), Permanent, Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 -Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Cardiff & surrounding areas
