About Us
Mary Seacole Housing is a dynamic and innovative third-sector organisation that has been providing housing support to individuals with diverse needs for over 30 years. We are committed to empowering people to achieve independence and stability, and we are now looking to welcome a Supported Accommodation Officer to join our busy and dedicated support team.

About the Role
As a Supported Accommodation Officer, you will provide person-centred support to vulnerable individuals and those at risk of homelessness within our residential properties. You will manage a caseload, offering tailored advice, guidance, and practical support to help residents move on to safe and sustainable accommodation.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, proactive, and professional — someone who is genuinely committed to improving the wellbeing and outcomes of others.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in delivering high-quality support services, ideally within supported housing or a community-based setting
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with a diverse range of people
A non-judgemental, inclusive, and person-centred approach
Flexibility and a commitment to teamwork
A strong understanding of inclusion, equality, and diversity

Knowledge of (desirable):

Trauma-Informed Approaches
Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE)
Service User Co-production and Empowerment
Outcome-focused, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented practice
Conducting needs and risk assessments
Co-producing support and safety plans

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by the organisation)
Police clearance certificate if you have lived outside the UK for 12 months or more in the past 10 years (aged 18 or over)
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (08:00am - 16:00pm / 13:00pm - 21:00pm)

Do you hold a Level 5 Diploma or a suitable equivalent in a field relevant to support, e.g. Social Care, Youth and Community Studies, Psychology, Criminology, etc.

Experience:

providing support to vulnerable adults: 3 years (required)
supported housing or community-based settings: 3 years (required)

Language:

Fluent English (required)

Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (preferred)
