Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a keen interest in food preparation. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our bakery operations, ensuring that high-quality products are prepared and presented to our customers. This position requires a commitment to food safety and an understanding of kitchen practices.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Support the head baker in daily tasks, including measuring ingredients and mixing dough.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist with restocking as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.

Skills

Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new techniques in food production.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
