Driver & Labourer – Job Description
We are currently looking for a reliable and hard-working Driver & Labourer to join our team.
In this role, you will support the daily operations of waste collection, removals, and deliveries by driving company vehicles and assisting with manual handling tasks. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in doing a good job, and wants to be part of a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites (where applicable)
- Assist with loading and unloading furniture, waste, or materials safely and efficiently
- Carry out house clearances, commercial removals, and site collections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised van
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers on-site
- Carry out basic checks on the vehicle and report any issues
- Complete delivery or clearance paperwork when required
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
- Occasionally assist in warehouse or yard duties if required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in waste clearance, removals, or driving roles preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely
- Basic knowledge of vehicle checks and maintenance is an advantage
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Flexible and adaptable to changing jobs and routes
- Full UK driving licence preferred (but not essential depending on role)
