FTC Assistant Financial Accountant – Basildon/Hybrid

Job Description

SS&C Technologies seek an Assistant Financial Accountant for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This role will report to the Head of Accounting and undertake general ledger accounting and analysis activities across multiple legal entities.

Your Responsibilities

Month end accruals & prepayments
Assist with fixed assets accounting, including additions and disposals
Analysing large volumes of transactions for variance and trend reporting
Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and control accounts, and resolution of outstanding variances
Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with monthly deadlines
Liaise with colleagues to address miscoding’s or other issues identified, to improve underlying processing
Assisting with PWC audit queries
To communicate and promote the values which reinforce and support a consistent quality culture.

Your Experience

Experience and confidence using Excel including pivot tables
Strong general accounting knowledge - double entry, accruals, fixed assets
Experience of analysing large volumes of data
Experience of balance sheet account reconciliation, and control
Previous experience of using Workday GL is preferable
AAT, ACCA, CIMA or Degree qualifications desirable but not essential for this position.
