Role overview
Attract & Engage is a boutique B2B marketing, communications and design agency based in Billericay. We work with founders and senior leaders in professional services, financial services, built environment, manufacturing and tech to build brands and drive demand.
We’re looking for a Senior Designer to be responsible for brand and integrated content design, to elevate Attract & Engage design output across both offline and digital channels. This is a senior, hands-on creative role for an experienced designer who can combine classic brand and print discipline with fast, commercially focused digital content execution.
Sitting within the agency's close-knit Billericay team, the role balances two priorities: creating high-value campaign collateral for B2B clients and building a scalable design infrastructure that enables internal teams to deliver content efficiently without compromising brand standards.
Key responsibilities
1. Brand, print & offline design leadership
- Lead the concepting, design and preparation of high-quality offline collateral for B2B clients, including corporate brochures, pitch documents, exhibition materials, sales support assets and other long-form printed communications.
- Produce accurate, press-ready artwork using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, with strong working knowledge of typography, layout systems, grid discipline, bleed, print specifications and production processes.
- Build robust master design files and layout frameworks that maintain consistency across client accounts while allowing for bespoke creative execution where needed.
- Apply sound brand judgement to ensure every asset feels premium, commercially relevant and appropriate for professional B2B audiences.
2. Digital content & campaign creative
- Create engaging and conversion-focused digital assets across channels, including LinkedIn paid ads, organic social carousels, web components, email headers and supporting campaign graphics.
- Adapt creative thinking across multiple formats and placements, ensuring work is optimised for performance, readability, audience attention and channel best practice.
- Translate campaign objectives and messaging into strong visual concepts that support lead generation, brand positioning and content engagement.
- Work closely with strategy, copy and content colleagues to shape joined-up campaigns that feel cohesive across online and offline touchpoints.
3. Canva systemisation & template governance
- Own and manage the agency's Canva Business workspace as a core part of the production ecosystem.
- Convert master assets created in Adobe into polished, locked-down Canva Brand Kits and templates, ensuring the accurate setup of fonts, logos, colours, spacing rules and reusable layouts across the client portfolio.
- Develop intuitive templates that enable copywriters and content managers to create approved content quickly without layout drift or off-brand execution.
- Continuously improve template usability, governance and file organisation so the wider team can work faster while senior creative standards remain protected.
4. AI-assisted workflow development
- Take the lead on exploring, adopting and embedding practical AI-assisted design workflows across the agency.
- Use tools such as Canva Magic Studio, Adobe Firefly and other suitable platforms to automate repetitive production tasks, including background removals, object edits, resizing and rapid versioning.
- Assess where AI can remove bottlenecks without reducing creative quality, and build repeatable ways of working that improve efficiency across the design process.
- Act as a positive internal advocate for technology-enabled production, helping the wider team understand how new tools can support rather than dilute strong creative craft.
5. Collaboration, quality & delivery
- Work closely with the wider marketing communications team to align creative output with campaign priorities, client objectives and deadlines.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, maintaining quality, pace and attention to detail across both bespoke and templated workstreams.
- Ensure all assets are checked thoroughly for accuracy, consistency and brand alignment before release or print production.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of the agency's creative offer by identifying better ways to improve visual consistency, production speed and client impact.
Skills, experience & requirements
Essential
- Significant experience in a senior or experienced graphic design role, ideally within a B2B agency, integrated marketing environment or similarly fast-paced client-facing setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, with clear strength in editorial layout, print production and brand-led design systems.
- Strong digital design capability across social, email and web campaign assets, with an understanding of how creative needs to adapt by channel.
- Proven experience building and managing templates in Canva, with the judgement to create systems that are easy for non-designers to use without compromising brand integrity.
- Confident understanding of typography, hierarchy, spacing, brand consistency and the technical realities of preparing files for print and digital deployment.
- Enthusiasm for AI-enabled design workflows, with a practical mindset around using emerging tools to improve production efficiency.
- Demonstrable experience creating work for B2B audiences, with the ability to reflect the nuance, professionalism and commercial focus required in corporate communications.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple live projects and deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience creating exhibition graphics, sales collateral, pitch documents or other premium long-form brand materials.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn campaign creative and performance-oriented social content design.
- Experience working within small, collaborative agency teams where flexibility, initiative and pace are essential.
- Exposure to additional Adobe Creative Cloud tools and evolving generative design platforms.
Behaviours aligned to A&E values
- Drive with purpose & autonomy: Take ownership of the visual standard of agency output, make strong day-to-day creative decisions and proactively solve problems before they slow delivery.
- Own the outcome: Think beyond individual assets and focus on how design improves campaign performance, client perception and internal efficiency.
- Challenge to win: Bring informed creative opinions, challenge weak briefs or inefficient processes and recommend smarter routes to stronger work.
- Graft with pace & precision: Operate at speed without letting quality slip, balancing meticulous artwork standards with the demands of a fast-moving agency environment.
- Team mindset: Collaborate openly with colleagues, build tools and systems that make others better, and contribute positively to an office-first culture in Billericay.
