Orchid Energy Ltd is a growing MCS-certified and NICEIC Approved Contractor specialising in Solar PV, battery storage, EV charging installations, and domestic and commercial electrical services.
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and maintaining the highest industry standards. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electrician to join our expanding team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician with 3–5 years of industry experience who is looking to develop their skills within the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced electricians and solar installers on a variety of projects across Surrey, London, and the Home Counties, with occasional travel further afield.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems and battery storage systems
* Domestic and commercial electrical installation work
* Installation of EV charging equipment
* Testing, inspection, and fault-finding assistance
* Working safely at height on pitched and flat roofs
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety
* Representing the company professionally when dealing with customers and clients
Essential Requirements
* 3–5 years’ electrical installation experience
* Full UK driving licence
* Comfortable working at height and on roofs
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and customer service skills
* ECS Card or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
* Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
* Experience with Solar PV, battery storage, or EV charging installations
* IPAF, PASMA, or Working at Height training
