Role
Within this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing and refurbishing shop tools to support production, along with training and mentoring first year apprentices in the basic tool making skills.
Principal Accountabilities
- Repair, service and manufacture tools for production using mainly manual equipment
- Accurately reading and interpreting engineering drawings and using all available measuring equipment to ensure products are finished to a high quality, within tolerance and via the most effective manufacturing method.
- Training and mentoring new colleagues and apprentices when necessary to aid their development.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in manual machining techniques and experiences in the use of manual milling, turning, grinding and jig boring machines.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience of working to aerospace specifications and tight tolerances.
- Experience in setting and operating CNC equipment is an advantage but not essential.

- 7:45am - 17:00pm (Mon-Thu) 7:45-12.45pm (Fri)
Salary Dependent on Experience.
