Salary: £35,000–£45,000 basic (depending on experience) + monthly bonus + overtime (OTE £45,000+) Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent Hours: 42.5 hours Monday–Friday + 1 in 4 Saturday mornings Location: Basingstoke (In person)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly professional and experienced LCV Technician to join our team at Martins Volkswagen in Basingstoke.
You’ll be working within a dedicated, knowledgeable, and well‑established main dealer environment, focusing exclusively on Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. As a designated Electric Vehicle Repair and Battery Care Centre, you’ll also have the opportunity to work with the latest EV technologies.

Your Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on the full range of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
- Maximise efficiency while maintaining company, manufacturer, and industry standards
- Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and follow VAG‑approved repair methods
- Accurately record all work using company and VAG systems
- Provide clear, detailed explanations of required or completed work to colleagues and customers (face‑to‑face and via video)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment
- Complete Volkswagen training modules to keep your product knowledge up to date
Your Qualifications
- Fully trained and experienced Service or Diagnostic Technician
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent manufacturer qualification
- EV maintenance/repair qualifications are an advantage (training provided if needed)
- VAG Group accreditation preferred, or equivalent main dealer experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a technician
- Full UK driving licence (required)
