We are looking for someone for our Studio & Client Relationship Manager role, who will have just as much to do front of house as back office, requiring a blend of people skills and production management.
A BIT ABOUT US
Petra Jewellery has been #SharingTheSparkle since 1979.
We specialise in bespoke commissions, repairs and restorations with very little retail which means everything that we do is deeply personal and each job we take in is handled with compassion as well as high levels of expertise.
THIS ROLE
Studio & Client Relationship Manager is a job title designed to reflect the responsibility of taking work from start to finish, on time, on budget and to keep our clients updated every step of the way.
We have a jewellery specific EPOS system to manage workflow throughout production and a relatively new CRM system called Go High Level to support delivery of customer service excellence.
Behind the sparkle sits a surprisingly complex operation.
Delivering exceptional experiences requires project management skills, commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts; ensuring we deliver on time, on budget and to the high standards we’re known for.
We find that pure creatives, as wonderful as they are, sometimes struggle to follow our digital systems that are essential in capturing important details and keep everything on track.
THIS ROLE COULD BE PERFECT FOR YOU IF…
Are happy with Tuesday to Saturday as a working pattern.
Are within a reasonable daily commute to Basingstoke.
Are comfortable with a starting salary around £30-35k
Are output focussed, good at prioritisation and time management.
Enjoy having a broad range of responsibilities.
Love people and relationship building.
THIS IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF…
You dislike switching between creative, operational and people-focused tasks.
You prefer highly structured corporate environments.
You struggle with always having a lot to do.
If you have no creative experience at all it’s not necessarily an issue; Jo was a nursery manager prior to joining us over ten years ago and I’m a mechanical engineer: we have both learnt ‘on the job’ and are now pretty good at what we do!
WHAT THE ROLE ACTUALLY INVOLVES
This role blends customer experience, operational leadership, creativity and commercial awareness.
One morning you could be guiding a bespoke jewellery commission; by lunchtime capturing customer stories and content for marketing; later reviewing workflow and production priorities, before supporting an event, networking opportunity or business improvement project later that week.
You’ll help support our manager Jo, strengthen the wider team, improve operational systems and help ensure Petra continues delivering exceptional experiences as we grow.
You do not need a jewellery degree.
You do need warmth, judgement, maturity, emotional resilience and a systems-orientated mindset.
